About Our Work
Our intention is to use our first amendment rights to share critical news stories, and to help you track the corruption of the Trump administration. We are dedicated to helping people stay informed of the facts, empowered to stand up for your constitutional rights, and able to take peaceful actions of resistance. Together we will help our country overcome Trump's attacks on our democracy and common human decency.
We also want to empower you to be able to talk with others about what is happening, armed with accurate information and peaceful ways to create change. Silence does not create change. Our heart, our persistence, and speaking now - that is what creates the change.
Trump works by silencing opposition, spreading fear and misinformation, and encouraging his followers to hate (even to go against their own best interest).
But we won't be silenced and we are not afraid. We will win this fight with peace, love, and the Truth on our side.

She inspires me so much, and I relate to her a lot. I'm a pretty positive person, calm, and different. I share this because you're my people, you know? Underestimated. Made fun of to my face, by people who assumed that the strength of my kindness meant that I was also too stupid to realize. I talk about that because a lot of you (who will find these words) are incredibly kind. And we haven't understood others' cruelty, or how to navigate this. And now is the time to stand proudly in celebrating what makes us different.

I have worked for the federal government. If there is one thing I can't abide, it's lack of integrity in a leader - when people put their own power and greed ahead of what is right for our country, especially as they do so while claiming to be doing "God's work." My methods are not petty, or ego-based, but I will do everything in my power to ensure that the people have the leadership they deserve.

So often we can hold ourselves back, thinking that our voice doesn't matter, or our efforts won't change things, and so we stay small. Or we think someone else is going to lead, and we wait for them to show up. But what if you're the one you've been waiting for? And so I move forward one step at a time. The only certainty is what silence would bring. Instead, what if we speak now to our friends, our family, and our communities. What if every day, we create the change.
I'm not afraid. It's the wizard who should be afraid of me.

Why I started Speak Now, Democracy
I wanted to offer clear explanations of what we're facing and the empire we're up against, while also empowering people to speak out in greater confidence. I want you to feel greater ease in navigating this. Most importantly, I want to teach you how to take command of the narrative, be a leader, and create the change. Every truth you speak is a contribution.
About the Speak Now, Democracy Symbol
When I speak the Truth, I have your back.
When you speak the Truth, you have my back. And together we are the force that changes the world.
My design was inspired by a symbol of the Allied Forces in WWII, because our world is yet again in the fight to save democracy from authoritarian rule. And I designed my symbol to let you know that we have each other's backs, and we are going to overcome.
